Prime Minister Laptop National Scheme to launch in Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Government has decided to start Laptop scheme for students in throughout country. Now this free laptop strategy is going to start with new name “Prime Minister Laptop National Scheme”. Government hasn’t announced final date launching date but it may take some months.

A Laptop Assembling plant may also start in Lahore. Government will also coordinate Investors for installation of this plant. Government Officers said that couples of famous international computer hardware companies have contacted us in this regard.
Punjab’s Provincial Education Minister Rana Mashood Ahmed Khan told that around 130,000 students are getting free laptops in Chief Minister e-Youth scheme. On footsteps of Punjab Government, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also decided to launch Naway Sahar Laptop Scheme. According to media reports, 23,114 laptops have been distributed in this scheme.

After launch of this scheme in Punjab and KPK, Students of other provinces were also expecting this from their Provincial government but they didn’t launch it. Now Prime Minister Laptop National Scheme will create positive competition in Karachi Students, a student said.
More than 100,000 laptops will be distributed among talented students of Colleges and Universities.

The PML-N Government will assign HEC to handle this project. Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan will take Assessment of merit. Now Students of Sindh and Balochistan can also get Free Laptops. This scheme will create healthy contest among students.
